DEVELOPERS OF BREAKTHROUGH DIGITAL NIGHT VISION IMAGING
At the SRI Center for Advanced Imaging, we develop next generation detectors and imaging solutions for aerospace, defense, medical and scientific imaging applications, offering proven expertise in sensor design and fabrication from concept through production. Our imagers and detectors cover a wide spectral range from the ultraviolet (UV) through the short wave infrared (SWIR) in formats from sub-VGA up to 16k x 16k wafer-scale imagers.
As the inventors of Complementary Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) technology, SRI has applied our rich expertise to the challenge of developing a solid-state replacement for the image intensifier tube. Night vision CMOS, or NV-CMOS®, was designed to address that challenge, and the technology has been validated in U.S. military evaluations of next-generation night vision goggles as well as a replacement for image intensified TV sensors on ISR platforms. We have developed four generations of NV-CMOS technology over the past decade and the latest is DomiNite® which is now being released to the public.
DomiNite is a breakthrough low-light imaging solution that leverages our proprietary NV-CMOS sensor with its Quad Pixel architecture to deliver high-definition (HD) resolution video from sunlight to starlight. Unlike legacy image intensifiers, which are are easily blinded and susceptible to damage in bright light, DomiNite operates seamlessly through day and night without the need for an external illuminator.
